I haven't been very active on DA lately, due to working on our first indie game...one day I start seeing CORE behind peoples user names. At first I thought it was a cheap marketing trick to get you to spend more money on Flair or something, but then I saw Jolly Jacks caricature and too a closer look...They renamed Premium membership and bumped the price up from $12 a year to $50. Funny cuz most social sites these days offer DA's CORE features for free...think they haven't gotten the memo or something...you should only pay for top premium features. There is nothing in the core features that would count as "premium" nowadays, maybe in 2005 but not 2015. It's like DA just fell down some stairs a while ago with it's fresh new "Brand" (i don't mind the logo update) and braking its foot...now a day after the cast came of it decided to shoot itself in the same foot with this CORE BS! It all smells of "cheap" PR and desperate cash grab. Stop trying to sell us the idea that having core next to our username is worth a 4X price increase.

2016, if a year was described as a character it would be Death itself...seriously it's like the year of the Reaper. Either social media is moving news really fast or the mother ship has arrived and all the famous people are clocking out. If 2016 were a video game it would be No Mans Sky, oh yes I'm going for the low hanging fruit...a lot of hype, but no substance. 2016 the year the world lost all common sense, should be renamed as uncommon sense from now on. 2016 the year when the action of discussion has been replaced by denial of any opposing views with the creation of "Safe Spaces"...in collages/universities...ironic isn't it!? I remember the 90's when the Union fell and my Old Country was freed from 50 years of backwards totalitarian communist rule. I remember the hope and joy everyone felt, a age of peace and prosperity. A time of new, better, beginnings. I remember talking to my friends at the turn of the century that we live in the most boring time. There was nothing catastrophic going on in the world, at least from where we stood at the time.
Never did I imagine the world turning into what it is today. A politically correct, hateful, fear-mongering mess. It seems every step forward we take a step backward is sure to follow.
